The Bill (Reg. No.3654) introduces amendments to the laws "On the Local Self-Government in Ukraine" and "On the Local State Administrations" that extend participation of the public in the formation and implementation of the State policy, and settlement of the issues of local importance.
The Committee members stated that the Bill envisaged forms of public participation in the settlement of the issues.
The Committee members believe that adoption of the Bill will promote the development of civic society, which preconditions formation of Ukraine as a democratic, legal and social State.
